Compliant against my Stay at HAMPTON INN SHAWNEE KS

Hi There: My name is Mazhar Farooq, I stayed at HAMPTON INN SHAWNEE KS (located @ 16555 Midland Drive, Shawnee, KS, 66217) from 02/21/2016 to 02/24/2016 with my wife and 7 month old daughter. It was my worst experience ever to stay in any hotel. • The room was smelling very bad and dirty • There were fleas in the bed and my wife got effected • We were staying at 3rd floor and there was renovation going on 4th floor. Renovation were extremely heavy noise and my 7 month old daughter got sick due to heavy noise. Now if we have small noise at home she starts screaming • My initial booking was from 02/21/2016 to 02/24/2016 but left early on 02/24/2016 with sick wife and sick baby. We told whole situation to the front desk and store manager but did not get any positive response. I am sending this to you what happened to us? Why you treated us like this? How you deal / compensate your effected customers (we suffered while staying there but my 7 month daughter got sick…as she cannot handle any noise any more)? Lastly I have not contacted any lawfirm yet but planning to contact lawfirm soon to discuss my situation and rights. Looking forward to hear from you before I pursue further. Regards, Mazhar Farooq E-mail: mbughlani@***.com Cell # 256-694****

Oh and I forgot to mention one thing, when my wife and I went to get medicine for our sick baby. We did not want to take her out with us so we left her in the hotel.

The cleaning person saw her there and called the police because we left her all alone.

We were not gone for any more than ten minutes and they falsely accused us of child abandonment. I don't know how they got the police here that fast.

Hampton Inn Lewisburg Review from Parkersburg, West Virginia

I accessed a website that was listed as a Hampton Inn reservation site. When I talked to a representative I asked for rates at the Hampton Inn in Lewisburg,WV. I was told that the best rate was $110 per night with a total of $220 for two nights including taxes, etc. I was also told that I would receive a confirming e-mail. I was given a confirmation number. I never received an e-mail and I was charged $246.64 for the two nights. I called the manager at the Lewisburg Inn and he listened and was sympathetic but said he couldn't do anything to correct this. When I asked for a receipt I was told they couldn't give me one but I should receive one from the website that made the reservation. I have received nothing and think it is too bad that this fraudulent reservation episode has caused my otherwise, very positive experience at the Lewisburg Inn to be affected! Surely the management does not need this type of pr! William Gainer 1953 Foley Drive Parkersburg, WV 26104

Very poor management, rude staff and an owner who doesn't care...

The Hampton inn in Coldwater Mi is not to far from going under now that they have changed management. The new GM could care less about the place, the employees or the customers. She is extremley lazy and one of the poorest managers I have ever seen. My 11 year old could do a better job. The work environmet is very hostile, one of the third shift employees has made the managers cry and is very loud and at any time could get violent, but the they seem to turn a blind eye to it One of the front counter girls is very prejudice and seems to think its ok to put down someones religious beliefs (which is illegal). I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, Hilton should be ashamed of themselves for backing this hotel because they do not even come close to living up to the standards of the Hilton name.

Rude manager

I had reservation for one night stay. Somehow the reservation was done for 2 rooms. I only reserved 1 room, even got the email confirming 1 room. When I arrived at the hotel I was inform that I had reservations for 2 rooms. I requested to speak to the manager, Kerry Lacey, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. She stated that she would not cancel the 2 room, eventhough I had the email confirmation from the Hamptons. I refused to stay at the hotel and left. I stayed at the Marriot, staff was very acomodating and polite. Im know fitting with them for full reimbursement. They did charge for the 2 rooms. How can that be possible. Also, the lobby was unclean and very hot. The AC was not working or the heater was on. The local temperature was in the 70s. Hate the experience

Parking

i have worked for hampton inn downtown cincinnati and there is no parking for the empolyees.. we was told that we need to pay $12-$18 dollars aday to park in the parking garages near the hotel. But its parking in the back of the hotel that managers use. They make more money then we do and its sad that they wont use the garages near the hotel and let the little empolyees that do drive park back there. Most of them dont even work on the weekends and we was told we cant even park back there then either. Some of the 2nd shift workers have to walk to the parking garages late at night and we dont think thats fair. Nobody walks them to their cars to make sure they are even safe!!!!!!! its sad that they couldnt or want let us park in the back on the weekends cause they dont wont to pay the $12 dollars a day. *** we dont even have that kind of money to pay every single day. We was also told that since they are managers that they are aloud to park back there cause they dont feel like walking from the parking garage to the hotel!!!!

Unhappy

The Hampton Inn in Sunbury Ohio was on my way home and I've stayed at other Hampton's before. This one was the worst I've ever stayed at there was mold in the rooms and breakfast area. They had bed bugs and as for the staff the housekeeping staff was very nice but the way the GM talked to them I'm surprised he has any staff at all. He left me waiting at the front desk for like 20 min and was very rude when he did show up I beleave his name was Amitt. Because of all this I will never stay at another Hampton nor will my family.

Shocking Treatment of Customer

I made a reservation for shuttle service and parking at Hampton Inn Las Vegas Airport on Eastern Ave. My children and I arrived at 8:01 a.m. (with the driver roaming around the lobby) and they made us wait until 8:30 for the next scheduled departure time. I was incredulous when I told them that we had to be at the airport by 8:40 or we would miss our flight and the driver began screaming at me that if I didn't like it I could go somewhere else. At 8:29 he still wasn't coming out to load our bags into the shuttle, I had to do it myself. Then he drove to the other terminal first to punish me for asking if we could leave right at 8:30. This was the day before Thanksgiving, Wednesday, the 25th, which would make the airport busier than usual. I had used this service several times before but I will never return because of the disgraceful way I was treated by this driver and the Hilton he represents.

I am an employee at Hampton inn, Middletown, Delaware. The place is ridiculous and I'm ready to quit. They are so under staff, the laundry guy quit so there is never any clean laundry, the general manager and head of housekeeping are very rude to employees. Half the new people have not been trained at all so you need to hope your rooms get cleaned right if they even get done at all. The duvet covers never get changed unless there is a stain on it. Yes you sleep in other peoples hair unfortunately. I can't stand working at this place and honestly would not recommend anyone to stay there. They are also overpriced for the way the rooms look. Stained carpet, paint chipping off walls. Terrible.

Hampton Inn

(Area code: 04901) This business accidentally hired a current drug addict as GM. The previous manager had only been there a short while before being offered a better job, he did not know anyone very well and hired this individual. His name is Nate and he currently attends a local methadone clinic. Every year, the business cashes in the yearly bottles that are deposited by guests i various receptacles and every year employees get the same amount of money (relative to how many years they have been there). This year however, everyone only got half and instead got some extra gift cards. The gift cards are donated by various third parties and cost the business nothing to give away. It is clear that the new GM is stealing christmas bonuses from the employees and trying to compensate by handing out gift cards. He is not exactly the kind of ambassador they need for a Hilton affiliate.

Hampton Inn Colorado Springs Airforce Academy BAD HOTEL

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Having stayed at approximately 50 Hampton Inns and Hiltons around the world this was the worst run I've ever seen and will NEVER, EVER, RETURN. Point in fact I challenged the "100% guarantee". My general impression is the staff is very young. Most seem to be college age and no one appeared to be past age 23 years-old. What this means is the staff has no experience as a hotel guest and therefore have no perspective on customer needs. It seemed to be run by the local college as an business training course. Here are some specifics: * We were refused our room choice requested (top floor), instead put in the room across from the pool and subjected to mega noise from the above room (complained to front desk). * Hotel staff didn't make up our room until after 3:00 PM. * Cheaply built, poor sound proofing, noise from room above. * They neglected to provide standard Express Checkout with a statement under our door. * Hotel shows no loyalty to Hilton Honors loyalty members. * Statement incorrectly shows Hilton Honors points for one (1) room while we had two (2) rooms. * Staff emails continually attempted to "handle me" via corporate PR. * General Manager (Lauri Bumann) sent needlessly, personally offensive, unsolicited email to personally attack me. READ CAREFULLY BECAUSE THIS MAY BE ILLEGAL - The hotel attempted to charge our visa BEFORE our 4:00 PM check-in, at 9:00 AM that morning, via something they called "pre-arrival authorization" which I was NOT informed of nor did I agree to, nor have I encountered at any other hotel. This is legality questionable and I will follow up with the Colorado Attorney General, so watch your wallet. Avoid this place like a plague and take ANY reviews lacking substantive specifics needed for credibility with a grain of salt.

Breakfast

Thanks for offering a place to share complaints. My job requires a lot of travel and I "always" choose Hampton when one is available. However, my complaints at the local level seems to fall on deaf ears. I hate to be critical but, the breakfast at most Hamptons is very poor! Due to the amount of travel and the fact that cost at other locations, I am about to start trying other chains... Please try to fix this issue, I do enjoy Hampton, but something has to change.

Overpriced and rudeness

We were forced to stay at the Hampton Inn in Greenville MS due to the fact that the town is a mess. No directions to where motels were located and it was getting late and dark. Everything in that city is scattered all over the far sides of the town. It was so overpriced we could have stayed in the best hotels in vegas but instead it was a so so Hampton inn. The help at the desk were rude, which is the first time we have encountered this kind of behavior in MS. Could hardly speak to you and would not answer any questions. We went to shop for awhile as we had been sitting in car all day driving and went to the BElks store, It was the filthiest store I have every seen. Clothes were thrown all over the store and fitting rooms and the carpet was disgusting. That cured us of going into any other stores. Back at the motel, the TV stopped working and when I called the desk, they were put out that I called and it must be me, that I was too *** to work the TV and she would come and show me how. A few minutes later, she called back to say the whole motel was out due to whatever, they did not know. It finally went back on. the next am, as we were leaving, there was 6 girls behind the desk, and as we walked by, no one spoke a kind word, they just stared at us like we were sprouting horns on our heads. They also never offered to give us a lunch which is usual at the Hampton inn. NO goodbye, have a good day, nothing. So I suggest if anyone is planning on stopping in Greenville, just keep moving if you have to drive all night. That town it a mess. never will I go there again and hopefully never have to pass thru it. CM
